Discovering the Laguna del Mort, beyond the mouth of the Piave River, a unique naturalistic area in the Jesolo coastline.
Departure from the eBike For Me point of sale in Jesolo’s Piazza Nember will take us towards Lido Est. We will cross the cycle path designed by the landscape architect Nunes as far as the Merville skyscraper to continue in the direction of Eraclea.
The Laguna del Mort is in fact a stretch of sea separated from the open waters following the diversion of the course of the Piave River after a very strong flood in the 1930s.
The route will take us through the entire area of Lido est di Jesolo, until we cross a characteristic pontoon bridge over the Piave river, which will anticipate access to the path that enters the vegetation of the Laguna del Mort.
Once we reach the unspoilt beach of ‘Mort’ and make a stop to admire the landscape and the typical local flora and fauna, we will take the return route in the direction of the San Michele Biodynamic Farm in Cortellazzo, where we will discover one of the area’s excellences, tasting products from organic and biodynamic agriculture.
The route is totally flat; there are some very easy and pleasant stretches of dirt road, which present no difficulty.
At the end of the visit we will return in the direction of Jesolo to reach our starting point.
